• Within the valley you have several options for getting around: horseback riding, mountain biking or hiking. Some places also offer to rent a bike (at a cost of about 25.00 CUC per day).

• Vinales valley is unique. Special geological processes (erosion by underground rivers until the roof of the resulting caves collapsed) have formed this so original landscape. Its fertile soil and climate produces the best tobacco in the world.
• Nature lovers and stressed city people will find many possibilities for outdoor activities here. Hiking, climbing, caving, horseback riding and biking offer recreation for body and soul and are great kinds of exploring this beautiful place and its quiet rural life.
• To get a first impression of the beauty of the Vinales valley, you should move to the observation deck by the Los Jazmines hotel. Here you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.
• Nearby there is small path leading down to the valley. With a little sense of orientation (or a GPS) you can take a tour through the Vinales National Park and walk back to town.
• Another great tourist attraction are the many tobacco plantations. The most famous is called La Casa del Veguero. In the barn (casa del tabaco), where the valuable plants are stored for drying, you get explained the manufacturing process from planting to a quality Cuban cigar. If you like, after the tour you can buy some directly from the producer.
• More tourist information can be obtained at the Visitors Center of the Vinales National Park (Centro de Visitantes del Parque Nacional Viñales) or at the travel agency near the bus station in the city center.

• Most of the restaurants in Vinales are located by the Calle Salvador Cisneros main street. One of the most famous is the Casa de Don Tomas, serving generous portions at reasonable prices.
• In the surroundings of the small town there are also some good options for having lunch. For instance the Paladar Ladera del Valle counts with a delicious barbecue menu and a lovely garden.

• Nightlife in Vinales is limited to a few places in town. But these two or three clubs provide a great atmosphere.
• The most important location is the Centro Cultural Polo Montañez next to the square by the church. Here play live bands and you can dance and make party until dawn.
• The other club is called Patio del Decimista and is located at the main street.
